The importance of the kitchen and the family

There is a very famous song by the singer Jona Lewie.  it’s called you will always find me in the kitchen at parties.  In the song he explains how he completely fails to find love mainly because he doesn’t look after his kitchen.  If he was able to take the option of using Kitchen Refurb specialists www.thekitchenrefurbishmentcompany.co.uk then he might find that he would be more successful in finding a girlfriend.  Although the song is something of a little novelty number it does illustrate how important kitchens are to family life and how they look is extremely important.

This is also the case in many fictional dramas that appear on television. At one time in the 1960s they became so common they were called “kitchen sink dramas” because most of the action happened between the two characters in a realistic setting.  It’s a theme that you’ll see throughout many soap operas on television.  Because these scenes of drama are usually played out in regular homes it’s where important plot points are usually dropped.  The main reason being it allows the actor something to do whilst looking thoughtful after they’ve been told something important.

If you look back on many scenes you will see the two principle leads having a conversation whilst washing up.  One will say something groundbreaking and leave the room whilst the other will look wistfully out the window and slowly dry the plate in their hand clean and then place it on the draining board.
